Word of the day

Hunker (verb): to load up your house full of supplies for the hurricane, go to the Dollar Tree to find amusements for the kids, and wait out the storm.

Used in a sentence: We are going to hunker down, and wait out this storm.

:-) Can you tell I used to be an English teacher! This morning, Ike's projected path is still to our east. We are going to spend the day getting the outside of the house ready, and making sure there are plenty of distractions in case the electricity is out, making us lose our favorite distraction, the TV!
