Pictures from the farm

My Monkeys

HE DID IT!!!

Curtis got the pictures of the screwed up memory card! I'm not sure how, but I'm so thankful to have such a smart and helpful husband! I have a lot of pictures to sort through at upload, but hopefully, later tonight, I will have them up for everyone to see. Until then, here's a picture of my little monkeys.

A few pics from the farm

This weekend we went to Wichita Falls for our niece, Charleigh's, birthday. I took over 300 wonderful pictures. I looked at them on the way home, several times. Once we got home, I sat down at the computer, put the memory card into the reader and NO pictures!!! Curtis took a look at it, while I cried, and he said that the pictures are still there, but for some reason we can't get them. So he's taking the card into work with him, in hopes that someone will be able to help us.

Thankfully, my mother-in-law, Melinda, also had her camera and uploaded the pictures to Wal Mart for me. Thanks Melinda! You made a crummy situation much better.

So here are a few of the pictures from when Papaw took the kids to the farm. Hopefully, I will be able to add some of the ones that I got. Until then, I'm thankful that we got some. And heads up(Mom and Grandma M :-)), I don't think these pictures will get bigger when you try to click on them, since I had to get them off the Wal Mart site.

We froze our butts off for Third Day!

Tonight, thanks to some awesome friends who helped us with babysitting, Curtis and I were able to go to the Third Day concert here in College Station. It was an out door concert, at an ampitheater. During the day, we had a pretty big storm come through. I was so worried that the concert would be cancelled. We came to find out that it was almost cancelled. The stage had actually flooded. But after a little delay, they were able to go on with the show!!!

As we walked to get in line, we ran into some friends from church, Josh and Sarah. Sarah is a HUGE Third Day fan, just like Curtis. Can you see the excitement on her face? :-)We knew it would be chilly. But we had no idea how chilly it would really be. Since it had rained, Curtis had the smart idea of bringing our tarp. We found a spot, spread out the tarp and I sat down. Next thing I know, I'm getting wet. We're not sure why, but our tarp wasn't keeping out the water. So we stood. For four hours. :-) In the cold and wind. But who cared about standing in the cold when you're at such a great concert???

Well, Sarah and I did care a little bit about how cold it was. :-) But it was totally worth it! When we left, the temperature was in the high 40's and very windy. So very cold! But so very fun!

Thank you Erin and Beth (and your hubbies!) for watching out kiddos. We had an amazing night!!

This is the third Third Day concert that Curtis and I have attended together. And one thing that I really love and appreciate is how worshipful it is. We have fun, we dance and sing along, but we also worshipped. What a great evening!

Here are a couple short video clips that I got at the concert before the camera died.

Here we go again

I love looking at the montage in the last post. That was a great day! A really, really, great day!

Our spring break was a bit more crazy than I had predicted. On Thursday, we had Micah's party. Friday was errand day. Saturday we were in Kingwood visiting my oldest and dearest friend who had given birth just three weeks earlier. Sunday was a normal Sunday. By that afternoon Curtis and I both knew we needed some high quality family time before we faced reality again.

Reality hit hard yesterday as I went back to tutoring and Curtis went back to class. Today has brought more of the same. Tomorrow brings tutoring and Micah's first day of soccer. Friday will bring a Third Day Concert for Curtis and I (thanks to some awesome friends who have been willing to babysit for us). Saturday morning, bright and early, we head to Wichita Falls for the weekend. I don't think me feet have hit the floor, or will hit the floor any time soon.

Spring is always a busy time with us. And this spring holds the potential to be our busiest one yet. It's so easy to lose track of the important stuff when the world seems to be spinning so very fast. It's so easy to get frustrated over stuff that's not really that big of a deal when you're flying through life. So hopefully, that won't happen to us. Hopefully we can take it one day at a time, and just enjoy this crazy time that we have together.

The last day of spring break

This evening we went to the park, flew kites, had a picnic, played basketball, fed the non hungry ducks, and played on the play ground. It was a great night!!

Girl Time for Elizabeth

This past week, while my mom was here, she and Elizabeth had an opportunity to go have some girl time. They went to a really fun place called U Paint It, where (you guessed it!) you can buy already made ceramics and paint them. Here are a few pictures of their adventure and the final products.
Elizabeth thought it was funny that both she and Grandmas had flip flops on.At the house, right before they left.

Elizabeth's view of the mess.
Apparently the other people there weren't nearly as messy as Elizabeth!Mom and Elizabeth. Mom made me a mug, with Elizabeth's help. Elizabeth made herself a mug.
On Friday, we got the call that they were finished "cooking" and today we went to pick them up. Elizabeth was so excited!!
I'm not sure why, but Elizabeth is fascinated with the inside of the mugs. So here are two pictures of the inside of her mug and my mug.

On the other side of her mug, she wrote her name.
Not only did my mom do something with Elizabeth, but she also took Micah to the book store, where he was able to get several new books. Then Micah and Grandma went to Target where they spent some of his birthday money. I know that the time my mom spends with each of the kids individually is very special for my kids, and they will always treasure these memories. Thanks mom, for being such a great Grandma!!
