Rachel (I think Anderson?) left comments on my previous blogs, reminding me of how very blessed I am. It got me thinking. So often, as a mother, I get wrapped up in the daily "mothering" activities, that I forget what blessings my children are. If on a daily basis, I take the time to remind myself how amazing it is to be a mommy, and praise God for my children, then I imagine my entire outlook on mothering would change.
So, Mommies of the blogging world, care to join me in this little challenge?

I hear you, sister. There are times (usually between the hours of Midnight and five a.m.) when Ashlee and I want to pull our hair out. However, we take a couple of Perspective Pills, breathe deeply, and thank the Lord for our little tear-stained, unbelievably loud, chubby bundle of joy. (And then one of us puts on a pot of coffee.)
I've said it about Rachel, Marian, Hannah--and I think you should be included in that group--there ain't many women that could do what you do!
Besides, always keep in mind that I am available to volunteer Ashlee to help you out at any time. (I don't mind a bit!!)
you might like to read this for a bit of encouragement: http://femina.reformedblogs.com/2007/08/15/more-grace-for-mothers/
And did you know you are blessed with amazing musical talent, too? At least, in my dreamland you are...I had a dream last night that you and Curtis were huge Christian music stars, and you asked me to come on stage to play guitar as you two sang at one of your concerts. Because I have zero musical ability, and it was a dream, I agreed. The weird thing (okay, I guess it's not the only weird thing about this dream) was that I was holding the guitar the wrong way so that I had to strum it with my left hand. Not like that would really make a difference since I had no idea what I was doing, but I did pretend. I guess I was starstruck by your extreme talent and celebrity. So, rock on Super Mom (oh, and send me a free CD when it comes out)!
:) Gotta love crazy dreams!
I love to read your blog (which is why I check it EVERY day). Not only do I get to hear wonderful stories, written especially well, but you convict and encourage at the same time. You are a wonderful mother and I appreciate you.
