This evening, in a failing attempt to tire the kids so we could have a quiet date night, we went to the local Splash Pad. I took Elizabeth a couple summers ago, but the boys had never been, and Elizabeth didn't remember going. Here are some of the pictures from the evening. Benjamin loved it! He played, chased his brother and sister around, and just had a good time.

I didn't get an super wonderful pictures of Micah because he was on the go the entire time we were there! Most of the time, he was on the go where we didn't want him to go, like the private party where there was an inflatable slide like we had at Benjamin's party. Not a fun evening for or with Micah.

This picture reminds me of this picture from two years ago. Elizabeth was quite content to stand under the water, letting it splash over her. She would squeal and wait for more!
Of course leaving was very traumatic for the kids. Isn't it always? I was armed with snacks and juice boxes, which helped a bit. We came home and just had one of those evening were nothing gets done. Our date night didn't go quite as planned. The original plan was that I would make oven roasted ribs and scalloped potatoes. Curtis is currently on his way to Taco Bell.

All in all, a good day! And thankfully, I have good pictures and will probably only remember the good from them.
