Incredible Hulks

Yesterday we had our Christmas with the Findleys. It's always a fun time for us to spend time with them, and have the kids exchange gifts. This year, the Findleys nailed it when they got Micah a pair of Incredible Hulk Fists. They even make noise when you punch (or blink at) them. My favorite phrase is, "You're making me angry! You won't like me angry!"

I attempted to get a picture of Anthony with the Hulk hands, but he was moving way too fast for my poor camera to focus. He was in on the action too, though!

Judging by the boys, you would think we were the dullest, most un-entertaining family around. And if you were one of the lucky people to have lunch with us today, you know that's not true!

I call this picture "Krajca Kids On the Go!" And as you can see in the picture, Elizabeth wasn't sitting in a very lady like manner. I was up at the front of the church saying, "Elizabeth, keep your legs together!!" As soon as it came out of my mouth, and I heard a couple giggles, I decided to reword what I was saying.



The one almost smile I get out of Benjamin, and the other two are looking at who knows what!

That explains a lot....

Last night Curtis was working, so I was responsible for getting the kids down. Micah was putting up a fight, which at this point is trying to reason his way out of sleeping. I told him that he needed sleep so that his body could grow and that his brain could rest. He quickly assured me that he didn't need sleep because, "Boys don't have brains!"

I had to make a run for the door, I was laughing so hard and Benjamin was already asleep!

Thank you Micah! Not only did you make Mommy laugh, but you explained so much! I love you, my sweet, brainless boy!

Epic Snow

Papaw and Memaw came to see Elizabeth's ballet recital. We also took the opportunity to celebrate Christmas with them. Part of our celebration included a visit to Santa's Wonderland, a huge light display just south of town.

Before we left, I checked the temperature, and saw that it would be about 50 degrees. Not too bad! So I put the kids in two layers and we headed out, the kids decked out in their matching Christmas sweat shirts.

You'll notice in some of the pictures that Benjamin has a monkey back-pack. It's actually a harness and leash. :-) Yep, I'm one of those parents! Micah was so funny. He kept asking to "walk Curious George". Benjamin quickly figured out the whole harness thing. He would start running off, bounce back, then lay on the ground crying like it was the end of the world. When I would pull up on the leash part, trying to help him stand up, he would pull up his legs and just hang there. Oh, the looks I got!

We were at the park for about 30 minutes when I decided that it was chillier than I thought, and the kids needed hats! Fortunately, I found little ski type hats for only $3. Poor Elizabeth got stuck with blue, but she didn't seem to care too much. As we were waiting in line, the lady behind us told her, "What a nice little boy you are!" Elizabeth looked at the lady, started laughing, and exclaimed, "I'm a little girl!" The poor lady was mortified! Elizabeth pulled off her hat, revealing her bun complete with Christmas bow and glitter. The really sweet lady told her, "If I had seen your hair like that, I NEVER would have thought you were a little boy! You are so pretty!" Elizabeth thought it was funny, and I just felt bad for the poor lady.

The hay ride through the lights was tons of fun! It really is more fun than just driving it! Benjamin, however, didn't agree. He spent most of the time fussing, crying, screaming, or just being discontent and wiggly.

Aside from the lights, we were also able to enjoy live Christmas music, big fires, out door movies, and kettle corn! We had such a fun time with Papaw and Memaw!

Christmas Shoes

Christmas shoes..... Check!!!

Not sure why this is such a big deal, but it is.

Today, I went to Target and bought all three kids shoes to match their Christmas outfits. It was just me and the kids. All. Three. Kids. And Benjamin is sick (mild ear infection, early eye infection and sinus infection). And I was the only adult. And we had to try shoes on, which meant that shoes and socks were removed. Yet somehow, we managed to walk out with three pairs of shoes for Christmas, which actually fit my children!!

Yay me!!

Today, we played in the SNOW!

This morning, I got a call from our friend Charles, telling me that there is a hill of snow at one of the parks. There was a Christmas in the Park type even last night, and one of the things the city does is make a snow hill for sledding. Since it was cold last night, the now stayed, and we got to enjoy it this morning, minus the lines!

Elizabeth remembers snow from last year at Grandma's house. She found a box, put it at the top of the hill, smiled for her picture, and off she went! We learned pretty quickly, though, that the boxes were too wet. So, we got this bucket from out of the van, and that went much faster! She was very excited to find this big "snowball". However, she didn't eat it because, "it was too dirty!" She is, after all, an expert at these things! Just ask!
Elizabeth tried running down the hill to slide on her bottom. Obviously, that didn't work!
Micah got some speed going down the hill this time! He was torn between the playground that was so close to the hill and the snow.

He had lots of fun sledding, and did a really great job helping to push his sister down the hill when it was her turn on the "sled".What a cutie, even with snot!

The Manger

We've been learning about the manger, and the Christ child. The kids LOVE playing with this nativity! It's set up on the hearth, and they will play with it for hours! Micah even slept with the sheep a couple night ago.

While picking up the living room, I saw that Elizabeth had set the nativity up so that everyone was getting ready to worship Jesus. Awwwww!

Then I noticed that there were two extra participants in the nativity story.

Hmmmmm..... should I make them a permanent fixture? Do you think there were many penguins in Bethlehem?

Poor Benjamin

This morning, I was in the bathroom, getting ready for the day, when I hear Benjamin crying. I quickly finish, and go see what the problem is. The first thing I see is an entire pot of coffee spilled all over the kitchen floor. I find Benjamin standing on a folding chair, on one leg, sobbing. He had pulled the fresh, HOT, pot coffee off the coffee maker and had spilled it all over his feet. He's totally fine!! His little feet are red, but I think his feet were the only thing that the coffee spilled on.

Felons in the making

My house is a nightmare! I've been sick (again!) and we all know what happens to the house when mommy is sick. Last night was especially bad, and I didn't have a chance to clean in up. So a cluttered living room, littered with toys, raisins, clothes, sippy cups and ornaments greeted me this morning. Not the best way to start the day, especially since I only got about 5 hours of interrupted sleep.

Rather than deal with the chaos, I loaded the kids up and we went to McDonald's to run off some of the energy that was causing such messes. After about an hour at the golden arches, we ran a few errands. The last errand we ran was to the Dollar Tree.

It didn't go well.

We left quickly because Micah had bitten Elizabeth, Elizabeth tried to choke Micah, and Micah wet his pants. As I start unloading the kids into the van I realized that Benjamin had something in his hand. He had taken, while I was dealing with the whole choking thing, two little bottle of Energy Boost. Great!
